Spring Fever

Spring is buying season for screenplays, so I've socked a couple hundred away and today entered "Beauty Is..." and "Arapata'an" into the Nicholls Fellowship in Screenwriting and Scriptapolooza.

I've made significant headway on the outline for my Space: 1999 novel, to the point where I just need to start writing the first draft. Luckily, I'm expanding the novella, which is already written, so I have a very hefty chunk to build on. It's been hard getting my head back into the space (heh) because I had checked off DONE with that novella in my mind months ago. But, since working on the outline, I've warmed back up to the characters, especially the ones I'm creating for this story.

I've also completed an outline for a new screenplay, a paranormal romantic comedy. Now to start work on the first draft.

With end-of-semester madness beginning this week (grading, grading, grading, and dealing with desperate, last minute student writers where I tutor), I may have a bit of a stall, but I am counting the days until the summer begins and I can put my full-time writer's hat on.

Tally ho!
